Fight Like Frank was asked to tour The Mother’s Home in Darby, PA.
The Mother’s Home was one of our 2015 charities, and we decided to support them again this year in 2016.
The Mission for The Mother’s Home is as follows:
As a residential shelter, Mothers’ Home provides a safe haven for vulnerable pregnant women in crisis who choose life as a sacred gift. We encourage our mothers to celebrate the joy of new life and help them to prepare for their future and the future of their child.
We focus on physical, emotional and developmental needs including positive life skills, parenting and job preparation. We strive to assist our mothers to reach their goal of independence and self-sufficiency.
You can also go to their website, and learn more about them. www.mothershome.org.
Christine Gessler and Karly Soulas travel to Washington, DC to attend Brain Aneurysm’s Lobby Day.
A great day for learning about brain aneurysm and learning more about getting involved with The Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
Karly and Christine are pictured below with Christine Buckley, President of The Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
It was a beautiful day in Philadelphia to run the 21st Annual Donor Dash! The Gift of Life provided a fun game for dash participants to engage in this year. “Find Your Match” had random strangers looking to pair socks together. Our team found 4 matches! It reminds us all that finding a donor match isn’t easy, and doesn’t always happen. When it does it is brings great joy to those who are involved.
Team Fight Like Frank had runners, walkers, and cheerleaders. It was a great day for everyone.
